UKPCS — Uttarakhand Public Service Commission
Uttarakhand State Civil Services Examination
The UKPCS examination is conducted by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission. It has a unique Uttarakhand-specific knowledge component in Prelims and two dedicated Uttarakhand Special papers in Mains. Final merit is out of 1650 marks.
Note: The Preliminary exam is a screening test. Marks scored here do not count toward final merit.
- History: Indian History, Culture, and the Indian National Movement.
- Geography: Physical, social, and economic geography of India and the World.
- Polity & Governance: Indian Constitution, political system, Panchayati Raj, public policy, and rights issues.
- Economy: Economic and social development, poverty, inclusion, and demographics.
- General Science: Basic understanding of science, technology, and environment/ecology.
- Current Affairs: Events of national and international importance.
- Uttarakhand Specific Knowledge: History, geography, polity, economy, and culture of Uttarakhand.
